Dear Community Partners,

We are pleased to announce the results from our first Service Inventory prototype, the Activity Guide. In partnership with the Department of Children,Youth and their Families (DCYF),San Francisco Public Library, the Department of Recreation and Parks and the San Francisco Unified School District, the OCOF Activity Guide was launched in the Summer of 2016 to assist service providers in connecting families with after-school resources and summer programs.

Project Accomplishments (Summer 2016-Summer 2017):

  • Number of organizations that posted their program information on the OCOF Activity Guide more than doubled from 69 orgs to 170 orgs (with 518 programs and 2,060 classes).

  • Exposed hundreds of scholarships opportunities, special needs services and english language learner resources.

  • From April 2017-June 2017 over 1,000 users visited the OCOF Activity Guide.

  • 87 % English,10% Chinese and 3% were Spanish speaking users.

  • 51% of those visits was via mobile.

We are now moving away from building prototypes and will be focusing on creating one online portal that collects all publicly funded program information. A comprehensive, easy-to-use service inventory - that every SF resident, student, service provider and city partner will be able to connect and have access to a wide variety of services throughout the City.
