April 2016

OCOF hosted two Partner Advisory Sessions to gather feedback on the staff draft of our 5-Year Plan. Representatives from networks, collaboratives, advisory entities, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders that focus on children, youth, transitional age youth, and family issues in San Francisco were invited to learn more and provide input on the Council's draft Plan to guide their work over the next five years.

November 2015

The Our Children, Our Families Council, SF Department of Children, Youth and Their Families (DCYF), and the Office of Early Care & Education held Community Input Meetings in every San Francisco district in November and December 2015 in order to learn how the City and the school district can better support families and children. Community members of all types were invited to the meetings, and encouraged to attend meetings in their own district and elsewhere.

These Community Input Meetings helped to inform the goals and the plan that guides the Council’s efforts over the next five years, in addition to informing DCYF's and the Office of Early Care & Education's planning efforts.

Food, childcare, and interpretation services in Spanish and Chinese were offered at every meeting. If participants required interpretation services in a language other than Spanish or Chinese, they could request these services by emailing Emily Davis - Emily.Davis@dcyf.org - at least 48 hours prior to the meeting(s) they wished to attend.
