Masharika Prejean Maddison
Masharika is the founder of Lightwell, a coaching and consulting practice that supports individuals and organizations who are committed to social justice and social responsibility through policy action, advocacy, and innovative systems change. She’s also a member of the Board of Directors of San Francisco Bay Area Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR). Previously, Masharika served as Executive Director for Parents for Public Schools of San Francisco (PPS-SF), an organization which supports student success by developing school-parent partnerships, strong family relationships, broad community support for public education and educates parents (in Chinese, English and Spanish) about the importance of having a robust public school system across San Francisco. Prior to PPS-SF, Masharika was a Regional Communications Director for Teach for America, a classroom educator in the San Francisco Unified School District, an Assistant to U.S. Department of State Spokesman, and a Policy Analyst for Texans Care for Children.
